Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management (AITM), Bhatkal was established in 1980 as a Muslim minority institution and is currently positioned among the renowned technical institutions in Karnataka. The college is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. It was formerly known as Anjuman Engineering College, is the prestigious unit of Anjuman Hami-E-Muslimeen Bhatkal, and is recognised as one of the premier educational organisations in South India. AITM is the only institution in North Canara, which offers Master of Business Administration course of VTU. The departments of Civil and Mechanical engineering have been recognised as research centres under VTU. The vision of the college is to develop into a top class National institution that imparts professional education with social and moral ethics and to produce technically competent engineers with moral & professional ethics.
